Birth Doula

The birth doula provides physical and emotional support to the mother and her partner before, during and after birth. The doula also provides companionship, uses comfort measures, and helps the mom gather needed in order to make informed decisions.

DONA INTERNATIONAL BIRTH DOULA CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS


This training consists of:
16 hours of doula classroom training,
8 hours of childbirth education,
3 hours of
breastfeeding education,
1 hour
 diversity lecture
6 books from reading list
1 resource list

You will also provide labor support to 3 mothers
and get 6 evaluations completed
(2 evaluations
are required for each birth)
1 from HCP, nurse, other support person
1 from the mother

This doula training is approved by DONA International and after completing the requirements, all certification paperwork will be sent to DONA. 

Your certification will be awarded by DONA International.


Refund Policy: Regardless of the reason for cancellation, a $100.00 retainer fee will be applied if refund is requested OR you can take another training within 6 months.
