Are you a Military Spouse that is interested in a portable career as a doula?

If so, you may be able to use MyCAA Scholarship funds to pay for your certification training.

Military spouses who wish to register for Doula training using MyCAA scholarship funds should contact the Doula Training Center of VA to discuss all the course options. Before starting your online application, you will need to receive an acceptance letter from the training center which contains all the requirements for certification, course codes, and cost of each training.  

This doula training(s) will provide you with educational hours as part of the DONA International Certification. Once certified, you will be able to apply to become a TriCare approved doula as well as State Medicaid approved doula in those States offers that program.  Data on supporting mothers and partners during pregnancy, birth and postpartum has proven better health outcomes as well as increase breastfeeding success.
